Buy a Heart, Save a Life!

Buy a Heart, Safe a Life! SCCAD Outreach is putting on its first 5k event in support of heart-health. Funding generated from this event will directly impact our community by helping us continue our flagship program, Lifesaver CPR. Through this initiative we send our highly trained paramedics to public venues, high schools, and businesses to teach Hands-Only-CPR to the community at no cost.

Placing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will be given out to the best times for men’s and women’s runners. Registrants will receive a commemorative medal and t-shirt while supplies last. Pre-race coffee, snacks, and drinks will be provided as well as post-race refreshments! 

What’s with the Heart?

Each participant will receive a heart to place onto their bib that may be used for raffling after the race. We encourage you to run with this as a token reminder of why it is important to be heart-health conscious! When you finish the 5k, competitively or non-competitively, and present it to our staff, you will be entered into a raffle for prize(s) provided by our sponsors. 

Event Information:

This 5k run/walk will be held at 370 Lakeside Park (1000 Lakeside Park Dr, St Peters, MO 63376), starting at the Sunset pavilion. We invite those who wish to set a new timed PR, as well as those who want to take in the scenic park views at their own pace! Fleet feet will be providing bibs and chip timing.

Timeline:

Day of registration will open at 7am. Registration will close shortly before 8:00, with the race beginning between 8:00am and 8:15am.
